David Ozoh Deserves Premier League Debut – Vieira
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has showered encomiums on teenager David Ozoh following his Premier League debut against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Ozoh replaced Edwards in the 90th minute to earn his debut.
The 17-year became Crystal Palace’s youngest-ever Premier League midfielder when he was introduced in the second half.
Vieira has revealed that the young star deserves to make his debut following his impressive performances in training.
āIt was good for him to get involved. Heās been training with the first team the last couple of weeks. Even last year, he spent time with us,ā Vieira said as quoted by Tribal football.
āIt was really good to see how heās improving week after week and heās somebody that will get involved in training and will be around the first-team because he has the attributes to be a Premier League player.
āHe can play and when he gets the ball on the field he remains calm. Heās making some really good decisions in possession and physically heās gifted and he can compete at that level.
“Now, it is important to keep working with him and help him to develop in the right way.ā
Ozoh signed a professional contract with Crystal Palace in August 2022.
