4 Reasons Why a piece of Thierry Henry assessment of Victor Osimhen is wrong
The most important part of his assessment
Thierry Henry’s assessment of Victor Osimhen is not exactly correct after his comments about the Nigerian striker on Wednesday.
The former Barcelona forward was asked about his assessment of Victor Osimhen and he had a good review of the Nigerian striker but he believes he will struggle in a big club.
Thierry Henry is definitely one to ask about a striker considering his legendary career in that position, but he may have goofed on this one.
The former Monaco forward while assessing Victor Osimhen’s games suggested that the Nigerian might struggle in a big club where he might not be the focal point.
‘I think he’s going to go wherever he wants to go. He can adapt to a lot of sides and any league.”
‘When you play for a team like Napoli, everything comes to him. But it’s a different ball game when you play in a front three. Balls are not always going to you at a big club with three big guys up top.
‘That’s what I want to see: How he reacts when he’s not the only focal point. But other than that he has everything. He can hold the ball up well, he can run into the channel, he can finish well with his head, with his foot.’
“If I’m Man United, I pick Kane…”

Firstly, Napoli plays a front three, and their attackers are scoring goals, right now, there is no bigger winger than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgian like Victor Osimhen has contributed 28 goals this season – 13 goals, and 15 assists. He gets his goals, Victor gets his.
If Victor plays alongside quality wingers he will definitely thrive.
Secondly, Victor Osimhen doesn’t even play penalties, his 23 goals are without a single penalty. The other big guy on the team can have that.
“Zielinski asked if he could take the penalty and I said no problem,” said Victor Osimhen post-match against Frankfurt.
“It doesn’t matter who scores as long as the team achieves success.
“It’s the most important thing. I know my goals will come with or without penalties.”
Thirdly, Victor Osimhen may be the focal point but his goals’ difficulty level, and how he basically worked for these goals suggest, he will score in any team.
Breakdown of how Victor Osimhen scored his 23 goals
Right-foot – 11 goals
Left-foot – 4 goals
Headers – 6
Counter – 1
Tap-in – 1
Maybe Thierry Henry is not familiar with Victor Osimhen’s game, his goals are unbelievable, incredible, and sometimes self-made.
Victor scores from half chances. He actually doesn’t need the ball everything to perform his magic.
If you do what Victor Osimhen does at Napoli at any club regardless of the status, you will always bang the goals.
Victor comes deep, links up well, is good in the air, can play with back to goal, and play with his feet, come on Thierry, you should know better.
Victor Osimhen will definitely play at any club and thrive playing alongside superstars like himself.
Lastly, if the goal of the team is to win, then, a proper manager will play to the strength of his team.
