Ruben Amorim, and other 7 managers linked to vacant Chelsea’s managerial post

Following the sack of Graham Potter, €16m rated manager, Ruben Amorim, and seven managers have been linked to Chelsea’s vacant managerial position.

A few of the names linked to the job came as a shock while other names linked to the post could be returning to the club for another spell.

Here are the names of managers linked to the post

8. Ruben Amorim (Sporting Lisbon)

Ruben Amorim has been continuously linked to Chelsea’s vacant position despite his €16m release clause.

The 38-year-old Portuguese who helped Sporting Lisbon dump Arsenal out of the Europa League is said to be a strong candidate as the Chelsea board seeks someone for their long-term project.

7. Frank Lampard (Unattached)

Former Chelsea manager is another name linked to the Chelsea job. Since getting sacked by Everton, Frank Lampard has been without a club, and the board is said to be considering the 44-year-old manager.

They want a manager for their project and Frank Lampard reportedly fits this.

6. Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton)

Chelsea could be going back to Brighton for their manager despite the outcome of the first manager gotten from the club, Graham Potter.

The London club has been linked with Roberto De Zerbi, 43, who was the manager who replaced Graham Potter who joined Chelsea from Brighton.

According to reports, the Italian manager is currently not interested in a move to Chelsea as he is focused on finishing the season at Brighton.

Just like Potter, should De Zerbi decide to leave, Brighton will not stop him as he also has a price tag.

5. Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid)

Carlo Ancelotti is another name linked to Chelsea’s job, currently at Real Madrid but he also risks being sacked, according to reports, Florentino Perez will get Zinedine Zidane as his replacement.

Should he get sacked, Chelsea are said to be interested in the manager who won them the league title in 2010.

4. Jose Mourinho (Roma)

Jose Mourinho has been linked to Chelsea in a move that will see him coach the club for the third time after his two spells at Stamford Bridge dugout.

Reports in Italy suggest he is tired of Roma and wants out. He has been on record rooting for Chelsea and is open to a move to the club he owes dearly to his heart.

3. Mauricio Pochetino (Unattached)

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be open to becoming Chelsea’s manager if given the chance. He was the manager of Chelsea’s rivals, Tottenham but he is open to Chelsea move.

Although, a few Chelsea fans are not in support of this move as they likened it to the one in 2013 when Rafael Benitez was appointed as Roberto Dimatteo’s replacement.

The former Barcelona manager is one of the names Chelsea fans want as their new manager. The Spanish manager has also been linked to the job.

The former Roma manager is said to be preparing for a job in England as he is studying English and only listening to Premier League news.

I guess, his time has finally come.

Sacked Bayern Munich manager is another name strongly linked to the Chelsae job, He is said to be liked by some of the club’s board.

Some fans want him now, but he is also going to cost Chelsea money, according to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich must approve of the deal.

Julian Nagelsmann is still under contract with the German club and Bayern are ready to negotiate with any potential buyer so they can save the money they are to pay him until 2026.

He is still under contract with the German club but Bayern wants to recoup part of the money due the German who still has three years on his contract
