Napoli need a miracle to get Osimhen fit for Milan UCL clash
Out of Napoli game against Lecce
Napoli will need a miracle to get Victor Osimhen fit for their Champions League quarterfinal first-leg tie against AC Milan next Wednesday.
The two Italian sides will faceoff again next Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League game after last weekend’s Serie A clash at Maradona Stadium.
Milan got the better of their Italian rivals putting four past the Serie A champions-elect in the absence of Victor Osimhen.
Napoli were absolutely outclassed and it was evident they are not the same thing in the absence of Victor Osimhen as they missed all the qualities that come with the Nigerian striker.
Victor Osimhen missed the clash due to an injury he picked up during international duty with Nigeria, and has also been ruled out of their Serie A game against Lecce this Friday.
Napoli confirmed on Tuesday that their star striker underwent therapies in the morning at the club’s training center in Castel Volturno.
This means the 24-year-old won’t be available against Lecce on Friday when the Partenopei visit Lecce at the Stadio Via Del Mare as he will be evaluated on the same day.
According to SkySport, he might also miss his third game which is the UEFA Champions League game against Milan in San Siro on Wednesday, March 12.
Napoli’s correspondent Massimo Ugolini also told Footballitalia that the Partenopei will ‘need a miracle’ to have the striker back against the Rossoneri at San Siro.
