Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has returned to the FC Barcelona Fermini squad for the UEFA Women`s Champions League clash against Chelsea.

Oshoala reported back from International duty with Nigeria with injury and so missed the Primera Division Feminina win over Atletico Madrid who had her compatriot Rasheedat Ajibade in action six days ago.

The former Arsenal forward was in action when Nigeria defeated Haiti (2-1) and New Zealand (3-0) earlier this month. She came off the last international friendly game with signs of discomfort.

A five-time Africa Women`s Player of the Year award winner, Oshoala returns after receiving medical green light to be part of the team for the trip to London where they will face Chelsea on Saturday April 23.

Asisat will not be a stranger to the environment in London having starred for Chelsea`s city rivals Arsenal. The Nigerian striker won the FA Women’s Cup in 2016 with the Gunners.

In their last meeting, Barcelona defeated Chelsea to be crowned champions of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2021.

Also named in the FC Barcelona squad is 2022 FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup Player of the tournament Vicky Lopez.
