NBA Playoffs Round 1: D-Lo sends impressive Lakers into Conference semis
Kings defeat Warriors, take series to Game 7
D’Angelo Russell was impressive for the Los Angeles Lakers in their 125-85 blowout win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 of their series. The win sends them into the Conference semifinals with a 4-2 series win, making them only the second-ever team, after the Miami Heat, from the Play-In tournament to advance past the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Russell finished the game with 31 points as LeBron James scored 22 points for the Lakers, and Anthony Davis finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Santi Aldama led the scoring for Memphis with 16 points in the game.
Sacramento Kings forced Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors after a 118-99 win at the Chase Center saw them level the series at 3-3. Malik Monk led the scoring for the Kings with 28 points and De’Aaron Fox scored 26 points and 11 assists for the side. Steph Curry scored 29 points for the Warriors, who will now face the Kings in a winner takes all game in Sacramento on Sunday for a place against the Lakers in the NBA Playoffs second round.
