Former Flying Eagles Coach John Obuh appointed Abia Warriors FC Chairman
Former Head Coach of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles John Obuh has been appointed Chairman of Nigeria Premier League side Abia Warriors FC.
A switch from coaching to the administrative circle for 63-year old John Obuh, he will replace Pastor Emeka Inyama who resigned from the role at the end of the 2022/2023 season.
The Abia State Government, sponsors of Abia Warriors FC, Enyimba FC and Abia Angels FC have since moved to reorganize the management wing of the clubs with former Super Eagles skipper already confirmed Kanu Nwankwo to take over as Enyimba boss.
Obuh’s last coaching job in the Nigeria Premier League was with Akwa United, his stay with the Promise Keepers lasting for just few months before he was replaced by Coach Kennedy Boboye in 2019.
Until his appointment as Chairman of Abia Warriors FC, John Obuh was involved with the AS Roma Football Academy, Abuja.
He has in the past managed as Coach, Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United, Sharks and Rangers plus his involvement with the Nigeria U-17 and U-20 teams.
