Nigerian Referees fly to Bamako for Mali Vs Burkina Faso Olympics qualifier

Nigerian FIFA Referees Yemisi Akintoye, Terah Beauty, Mfon Akpan and Hannah Eliagwu on Sunday July 16 departed the country for Bamako to honour a 2024 Olympics qualifier between Mali vs Burkina Faso.

As delegated by FIFA, Yemisi Akintoye will be at the Center of proceedings with Terah Beauty and Mfon Akpan as first and second Assistants respectively. Hannah Eliagwu completes the Nigerian contingent as Reserve Referee.

The officiating crew will arrive in Bamako at least 24 hours to the matchday.

The second leg of the 2024 Olympics games qualifier between Mali and Burkina Faso will take place on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at the Stade 26 Mars in Bamako, Mali.

The first leg in Burkina Faso on Wednesday July 12 ended 0-1 in favour of Mali.
