Waldrum hails Nnadozie as one of the ‘ best young goalkeepers in the world ‘ after brilliant outing vs Canada

For her brilliant outing to help Nigeria force a 0-0 draw vs Canada, Super Falcons Coach Randy Waldrum has hailed goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie as ‘ one of the best young goalkeepers in the world .

22-year old Chiamaka Nnadozie was named player of the match after Nigeria’s 0-0 draw vs Canada in a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup group B clash.

Amongst her saves was a full stretched dive to stop Christine Sinclair’s 50th minute penalty kick, a significant moment in the draw.

At the post match interview, Super Falcons Head Coach Randy Waldrum spoke highly of the France based goalkeeper, rating her amongst the best in the world.

He said “Chiamaka has done this before, and I will say this, and I will embarrass her in front of you all, but I think she’s one of the best young goalkeepers in the World right now,”

Australia will be Nigeria’s next challenge, with Randy Waldrum hoping his goalkeeper keeps same form as this will be key to the Super Falcons chances of success at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Randy Waldrum’s side will play Australia in their next game on Thursday, July 31, at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
