Napoli’s TikTok Mockery Pushing Victor Osimhen Out of Naples

It appears that the relationship between Victor Osimhen and his Italian club, Napoli, has taken a significant hit following controversial posts on the club’s official TikTok account that targeted the Nigerian striker.

Victor Osimhen, a 24-year-old striker, has had a tumultuous few days. He found himself in a heated argument with his manager after being substituted during the club’s goalless draw against Bologna over the weekend.

In an attempt to make amends, Victor offered an apology to his manager, and teammates explaining his frustration with the situation.

Compounding the situation, Osimhen missed a penalty during the game, extending his goalless streak to three matches.

Just when it seemed like things might settle down, Napoli’s official TikTok account posted two derogatory videos about Victor Osimhen. These posts quickly ignited a firestorm on social media, with many fans accusing the club of racism.

The fallout from these posts has strained the already fragile relationship between Victor Osimhen and Napoli to the point where the player removed all Napoli-related content from his Instagram account.

In response to the controversy, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a statement in which he threatened legal action against Napoli.

Napoli TikTok Videos Mocking Victor Osimhen

Calenda stated, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“This is a serious matter that has caused significant harm to the player, adding to the challenges he has faced recently, including media scrutiny and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any necessary steps to protect Victor.”

Revealed -Victor Osimhen has not renewed his Napoli contract

Adding to the uncertainty surrounding the situation, a prominent Nigerian journalist, Oma Akatugba, who is close to Victor Osimhen, revealed that the striker is determined to leave the club in January.

Akatugba also disclosed that Osimhen has less than two years remaining on his contract with Napoli and has not yet signed a contract extension.
