Football Scouts have arrived Uyo for talents hunt in the ongoing 2023 Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Cup competition, SportsRation gathered.

The 2023 Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Cup kicked off on Thursday, September 21 with all 31 Local Government Area’s in the State, as participants.

At the time of this report, Senatorial District round of matches have reached the halfway point, with reports of the thrilling performances by the players, an attraction for football scouts who have stormed the state capital for talent hunting.

Some of this yet to be identified scouts were at the Eket Township Stadium on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 for the three games Involving, Esit Eket Vs Eket (0-1), Ikot Abasi vs Mkpat (2-0), Oron vs Eastern Obolo (4-0).

SportsRation correspondent, Nsikakabasi Akpan was at the Eket Township Stadium and was thrilled by the scintillating performances by the youngsters.

The Eket Township Stadium wore a carnival look and was had in attendance, scouts, fans, and football stakeholders, prominent amongst them, Tournament Coordinator, Elder Paul Bassey, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalisation Committee, Prince Bonny Nyong, Secretary, Mr John Cleyton and members of the Football Association and Local Organizing Committee.
