Super Falcons star Jennifer Echegini closing in on Juventus switch

Super Falcons midfielder Jennifer Echegini is close to completing a move to Italian giants Juventus on a permanent deal for her first experience of professional football.

Scouted by Randy Waldrum and his team from the US College circuits, Echegini has established herself as one of the finest young midfielders in the country at just 22 years of age.

Having played in the Collegiate setup for the last few years of being at the Florida State University, Echegini is now prepared to take a major step and join a professional team in Europe, and has been in talks with Juventus since the summer.

Echegini has played several times for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, including at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand in the summer. If she does end up joining Juventus, she will become the first Nigerian female to play for the club in its history.
