Promotion-chasing Dakkada FC flourished in a 4-0 spanking of Edel FC on matchday three of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season.
Coach Emmanuel King tutored Dakkada FC went into the game, desperate in search of three points to get their promotion chase on track following a draw and defeat in the opening two games.

In the 66th minute, Christian Ekong served his second of a hat-trick of assists for 2023 Akwa Ibom State Governor‘s Cup discovery, Lucky Tom to fire the Chosen Ones 2-0 up in Uyo.
Lucky Tom made it three for Dakkada FC with a goal of the season contender.
Lucky drove beat two markers with a swerving turn before unleashin a bullet shot from 25-yards that left Edel FC goalkeeper Bright with no saving-chance, for his third goal of the season and Dakkada’s 3rd of the week three clash.
Former Kano Pillars FC forward, Kokoette Udo made it four and perfect for Dakkada FC when he drove into the box to score with a well placed shot.
Interestingly, all four goals were scored by players who excelled at the ongoing Governor’s Cup in Akwa Ibom State.
It finished 4-0 in favour of Dakkada FC. Their fourth point of the season after three games and takes them to second place in Southern Conference A behind Madiba FC [7pts].
Dakkada FC will continue their promotion chase when they welcome Rovers FC of Calabar to the Uyo Township Stadium on December 9, in week four of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season.
