WHEN WAS 1472 FC LAUNCHED
1472 FC was launched at a colourful event in November 2023.
WHO IS THE HEAD COACH OF 1472 FC
Otega Deniran Is head Coach of the Lagos-based NNL Club.
WHY THE NAME 1472 FC
The club is owned by TINGO CEO, Dozy Mmobuosi but is named after Lagos State.
This is how CEO, Dr Segun Sanni explained the choice of 1472 FC at the unveiling ceremony.
“We’ve named the club[1472 FC] so because a Portuguese explorer gave Lagos that name that year and we feel it is fitting to do so,” he said.
HOW HAS THE NEW CLUB FARED SO FAR THIS SEASON
1472 FC has made an unbeaten start to the 2023/24 Nigeria National League season.
In its first ever competitive game, 1472 FC held Dakkada FC to a 1-1 draw at the Uyo Township Stadium on November 18, 2023.
On matchday two, 1472 FC defeated Rovers FC 2-1 in its first home game of the season.
Another away draw in Uyo vs Vandrezzer FC was consolidated upon by 1472 FC players who flourished in a 4-1 spanking of Ekiti United on matchday four of the 2023/24 NNL season.
