Niger Tornadoes mourns the loss of longest-serving club Curator
Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna is in mourning following the sad passing of Abdullahi Jibril, affectionately known as “Sara,” in the early hours of today, December 14, 2023.
Jibril, who had participated in the team’s morning training session, served as the club’s curator for nearly three decades.
The Chairman of NPFL side Niger Tornadoes FC, Engr. Ibrahim Dada, expressed deep condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased through the club’s Media Department. He described Jibril’s death as shocking but acknowledged it as an act of God.
Late Abdullahi Jibril’s unwavering commitment, dedication, and significant contributions to the state’s beloved team will be remembered and missed by the entire Niger Tornadoes family, including the management, technical crew, players, and supporting staff.
Chairman Dada prayed that Allah (SWT) bless the departed soul with Aljannah Firdaus and grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
At the age of 48, Abdullahi Jibril left behind his mother, brothers, and sisters. The funeral prayers for the deceased are scheduled for 2 pm at the Minna Central Mosque, according to family sources.
