In the first leg, Rivers United secured a 1-0 victory with Captain Nyima Nwagua scoring the decisive goal.

The winner of this fixture in Tunis will take the lead in the group and position themselves favorably for qualification to the next round.

Rivers United’s Technical Adviser, Stanley Eguma, expressed satisfaction with the team’s spirit and recent winning mentality.

He emphasized the importance of team morale and a positive mindset in determining the outcome of the match. “The spirit in camp now, is high and the players are in a good mood to extend their winning run”; Eguma told CKDMEDIA.

Forward Deputy Echeta also acknowledged the challenge in Tunis but expressed the team’s determination to give their best and secure a positive result.

“It won’t be an easy task in Tunis, but we are determined to give it all our best, and hopefully we are going to come out with something, if not all the three points”; the former Bendel Insurance man posited.

Both Rivers United and Club Africain currently have six points each in Group C, with the same goal difference. The closely contested group adds significance to this fixture, making it a crucial encounter as both teams aim to advance in the CAF Confederation Cup.
