Revealed: Super Eagles squad jersey numbers for AFCON
Ahead of the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the jersey number for each member of the Super Eagles squad has been relevaled.
Napoli striker Osimhen is designated the esteemed number 9, solidifying his role as the primary center-forward for the team.
Despite uncertainties about his status as the first-choice goalkeeper, Omonia Nicosia’s Uzoho has been granted the number 1 jersey.
Super Eagles captain Musa retains the number 7 jersey, showcasing his longstanding association with this iconic number.
Samuel Chukwueze (11), Moses Simon (15), Joe Aribo (10), Alex Iwobi (17), and William Troost-Ekong (5) will retain their familiar team numbers.
Newly invited players Olorunleke Ojo, Stanley Nwabili, and Alhassan Yusuf will assume jersey numbers 16, 23, and 4, respectively.
