Iwobi will not retire from Super Eagles despite Cyber-bullying

The online abuse prompted Iwobi to delete all his Instagram posts, leading to speculation about his potential retirement from the national team.

Despite the backlash, a recent report suggests that Iwobi remains resolute and unaffected by the online criticism.

An individual close to the player dismissed retirement rumors, affirming Iwobi’s commitment to continue playing for the Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles, NFF, Sports Ministry and many fans rallied around Iwobi in solidarity, with teammates expressing support through social media posts.

Additionally, Iwobi reportedly met with John Enoh, the honorable sports minister of the federation, to address the issue.

Renowned journalist Osasu Obayiuwana addressed the retirement rumors in a report, quoting an anonymous source close to Iwobi. The source emphasized Iwobi’s mental strength and his dedication to representing his country despite the negativity.

The anonymous source stated, “Alex is totally unaffected by all the noise that has been making the rounds.
