Victor Osimhen is one notbale name missing from absent the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) team of the tournament released by CAF.
Players from Ivory Coast and Nigeria dominate the list, with the Super Eagles producing three players.
The Ivory Coast national team, also known as the Elephants, clinched their third African championship title after defeating the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-1 in a thrilling final held at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday, February 11.
Sebastian Haller emerged as the hero for the hosts, securing the winning goal after Franck Kessie equalized William Troost-Ekong’s opener for the Super Eagles, leading to a remarkable comeback victory for Ivory Coast in the tournament.
