Anthony Joshua teases Imminent return to the ring after Francis Ngannou knockout

Following his knockout victory over Francis Ngannou, former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has hinted at his imminent return to the boxing ring, much to the anticipation of his fans.

Despite initial expectations for a longer break, Joshua, whose career has seen a resurgence in recent months, appears eager to resume his fighting journey sooner than anticipated.

In a remarkable turnaround from his setbacks in 2021 and 2022, including losing his belts to Oleksandr Usyk and failing to reclaim them in a rematch, Joshua has regained his form with a series of impressive victories.

From a points victory over Jermaine Frankin in April to a knockout performance against Robert Helenius in August, followed by technical stoppages of Otto Wallin in December and Francis Ngannou in March, Joshua has showcased his determination and skill in the ring.

While many speculated that Joshua would wait for the outcome of the Tyson Fury vs. Usyk fight in May or potentially face Fillip Hrgovic for the IBF title thereafter, the British boxer surprised fans by agreeing to face an undisclosed opponent in his next bout.

In a subtle hint at his return, Joshua took to his Instagram Story, indicating that he is gearing up for his next challenge. Nigerian fans, in particular, are eagerly awaiting news of Joshua’s upcoming opponent, with speculation suggesting a potential matchup against Joseph Parker.
