Nigerian defender Bright Osayi-Samuel is Innocent

The Turkey Football Federation (TFF) has announced the conclusion of its investigation into the altercation involving Bright Osayi-Samuel and a fan during the Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor match.

The TFF panel has ruled that no disciplinary action will be taken against the Nigerian defender, clearing him of any wrongdoing in the incident.

Osayi-Samuel received praise for his courageous response when a fan approached him and his teammates at the Papara Park stadium after the final whistle of the match before the international break with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Initially, Osayi-Samuel faced a disciplinary hearing convened by the TFF following his international commitments with the Super Eagles. However, the federation has now exonerated him in the matter.

In light of the TFF’s decision, it has been revealed by A Spor that Trabzonspor, the club where Paul Onuachu currently plays, will face penalties. These penalties include playing six home matches without spectators and a significant fine of 3 million 112 thousand TL.

Furthermore, various individuals involved in the incident, including Jayden Oosterwolde, İrfan Can Eğribayat, Egemen Korkmaz, Kürşat Çiftlik, and Okan Özkan, have been handed different bans and fines by the TFF.

With the resolution of the matter, Fenerbahce can now shift their focus to upcoming matches, including a crucial encounter against Galatasaray. Osayi-Samuel aims to continue contributing to his team’s success on the field as they strive for positive results.
