Abia Warriors completes signing of five new players, promotes two from the reserves
Abia Warriors football club of Umuahia has completed the signing of five new players and upgraded two others from the Team “B” in preparation for the forthcoming 2017/18 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The players include former Nigeria junior international goalkeeper, Uche Okafor who moved to Umuahia from Nnewi-based FC Ifeanyi Ubah, versatile defender, Kelechi Ogoh from Sunshine Stars of Akure, two players from the Abubakar Bukola Saraki(ABS), Ilorin football Club, midfielder, Adeoti Muiz and striker, Ossy Martins as well as Jackson Daniel, a former Abia WARRIORS striker who returned to the team after his sojourn abroad.
The duo of Friday Chidera and Amos Ogbuagu were promoted to the main team after receiving the nod of the Technical Crew led by the Brazilian, Rafael Everton following their exploits in the ” B ” team last season.
The management expressed confidence that the said players would help the team achieve its ambition this season adding that other players who have expressed the desire to join Abia WARRIORS were being considered.
