AC Milan Urged to Promote Teenager Eligible for Super Eagles to First Team

AC Milan manager Paulo Fonseca has been advised to turn to the club’s youth academy to help improve the team’s recent struggles. With some senior players not performing well, Fonseca is looking for fresh talent to bring energy to the squad.

One player who could make a difference is Kevin Zeroli, a 19-year-old midfielder who is eligible to play for Nigeria through his mother’s heritage. Zeroli has been impressive in AC Milan’s academy, and many believe he could help solve the team’s problems in midfield.

After a 2-1 win over Red Star in the Champions League, Fonseca criticized some senior players for not giving their best on the field. Though he didn’t mention any names, there was speculation about certain players, including left-back Theo Hernandez, who has not been in his best form this season.

AC Milan has struggled to find a replacement for key midfielders like Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders. This gap has opened the door for Zeroli, an Italy U21 international with five senior appearances, to step up.Kevin Zeroli appearing for Italy U19 | X

zeroli has already impressed at both club and international levels, playing 11 times for Italy’s U19 team and earning a call-up to the U21s. While he is currently committed to Italy, he is still eligible to switch to Nigeria, thanks to his Nigerian roots through his mother.

If given the chance, Zeroli could follow in the footsteps of other players with Nigerian heritage at Milan, like Samuel Chukwueze, Fikayo Tomori, and Noah Okafor. His creativity, versatility, and work rate could provide the solutions Fonseca needs for his midfield problems, while also adding to Milan’s tradition of developing young talent.
