Adekuoroye, Oborududu win Nigeria’s 5th & 6th Gold medals
The gold medals are trickling in after a double victory for team Nigeria through the wrestlers at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Odunayo Adekuoroye beat India’s Pooja Dhanda in Wrestling women’s 57kg 7-5 by points to claim Team Nigeria’s first Wrestling Gold and Blessing Oborodudu fought her way back from 3-0 points deficit to beat Canada’s Danielle Lappage 4-3 by points in the women’s Freestyle 68kg category to claim Nigeria’s 6th gold medals.
Team Nigeria now sits on 10th position with 6 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze for a total of 15 medals.
