Ademola Lookman nominated for Serie A forward of the year award
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Forward of the Year award at the prestigious Gran Galà del Calcio, which honours the best players in Serie A.
The 27-year-old had an incredible 2023/2024 season with Atalanta, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions, making him one of Europe’s top attackers. His standout moment came in the Europa League final, where he scored a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.
Lookman will go up against other Serie A stars, including Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez, and Rafael Leao, for the Forward of the Year award.
Lookman’s consistent performances have earned him praise not only in Italy but also across Africa. He is also nominated for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The Gran Galà del Calcio ceremony will be held on December 2nd, when the winners will be announced.
