Ademola Lookman Targets More Success with Atalanta in 2025
Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to build on their achievements in 2024 and deliver an even better performance in 2025.
Lookman had a stellar year, helping Atalanta reach the Coppa Italia final and scoring a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen to secure the club’s first-ever European trophy.
Strong Start to the New Season
Atalanta has started the 2024/25 season strongly, sitting joint-top of the Serie A table alongside Inter Milan, though Inter has a game in hand.
In their recent match against Lazio, Lookman provided an assist in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Reflecting on the game, he saw the result as a positive step despite dropping two points.
“It was a tough match, especially in the first half, but we fought hard. On another day, we might’ve won. A draw is still a good result because we didn’t lose,” Lookman told Sky Sport Italia.
Optimism for 2025
The Nigerian forward, who previously played for Leicester City, remains optimistic about the future.
“We had an amazing 2024 as a team, and we’re focused on doing even better in 2025. The goal is to keep improving and achieving more success,” he added.
With Lookman’s form and determination, Atalanta looks set to continue their rise as a formidable force in Italian and European football.
