AFCON U-17: Senegal, and Morocco to play in the final
Mali, and Burkina Faso battle for Bronze
Senegal U-17, and Morocco U-17 will play in the final of the AFCON U-17 come Friday, May 19, after victories against Burkina Faso, and Mali respectively in the semis.
The Young Teranga Lions of Senegal defeated Burkina Faso 5-4 on penalties after both teams played out a 1-1 draw during normal regulation.
In the second semifinal involving Morocco, and Mali, the Young Atlas Lions won the game 6-5 on penalties after playing a goalless draw during the normal regulation.
So, Mali and Burkina Faso will play for the Bronze medal come Thursday, 18th, 2023, while Morocco, and Senegal will play for the title.
All four nations, Morocco, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Mali will represent Africa at the 2023 AFCON U-17 World Cup.
