Africa blackout as FIBA names Referees for Paris Olympic games

No African made the list of thirty Basketball Referees announced by FIBA for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic games.

FIBA has officially announced the list of 30 referees who will officiate the basketball games at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

These referees were selected from a pool of 40 candidates and have undergone a 13-week preparation program to ensure they are ready for the high standards of Olympic competition.

The selected referees have an average age of 40, with the youngest being 31 and the oldest 52, and an average of 12.7 years of experience in FIBA events.

Notably, referees from the EuroLeague were not among the initial 40 candidates considered for these trials. Here is the list of the 30 referees chosen for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games:
