Ageless’ Onome Ebi returns to Europe
Aged 40 yet still very active, Super Falcons defender, Onome Ebi, has made a move back to Europe with Israeli Women Premier League side, Bnot Netanya FC.
The seasoned defender, was played a part in a recent CAF Legends engagement, a tribute game held in Morocco ahead of the CAF Awards 2023, and so was thought to be heading towards the retirement desk, but her latest move signals, she is still pushing on.
Bnot Netanya FC, currently positioned 8th in the Israeli Women’s Premier League, will benefit from Ebi’s vast experience and profile as one of the oldest female players in the world.
Before her latest move. Onome Ebi played for Nigeria Women Football League side Naija Ratels.
Her football journey has taken her to various countries, including stints in Belarus, China, and Spain.
This move to the Israeli Women Premier League marks another chapter in Onome Ebi’s remarkable career.
