Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has agreed to a deal to join FC Barcelona at the end of his contract with Manchester City after spending ten years with the English champions.
The 33-year-old striker will sign a deal until June of 2023 and team up with long time friend and compatriot Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou from the commencement of the 2021/22 season. It is believed that Messi was a huge factor in Aguero’s choice of Camp Nou as his destination.
Barcelona are expected to wrap up a deal for Olympique Lyonnais and Netherlands winger Memphis Depay on a Bosman deal once his contract with the French side reaches its expiry at the end of this season. Club president Joan Laporta has announced that the club planned for extensive changes, and more movement is expected over the summer.
