Ahmed Musa transfer attracts FIFA sanction for Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have been sanctioned by FIFA for failing to remit to Leicester City add-ons from a transfer for Ahmed Musa.

Musa joined the Saudi Arabian Pro League side in a €16.50m deal in 2018, weeks after representing Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia.

The Knights of Naja have paid the transfer fee, they are yet to pay the add-ons, despite the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling.

According to Ben Jacobs, Al-Nassr were ordered to pay the Foxes €460,000 in performance-related add-ons.

However, the Saudi Arabian giants are yet to obey CAS’ ruling, forcing FIFA to ban them from registering new players ahead of the new season.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his club will have to make do with the current players, a deform for new manager Luis Castro .
