Ajibade wins first silverware with Atletico Madrid Femenino

Nigeria’s young sensation, Rasheedat Ajibade was part of the Atletico Madrid Femenino side that triumphed in the Spanish Super Cup final with a 3-0 win over Levante UD Femenino. The trophy comes only 16 days after the Nigerian joined the Madrid-based side on a permanent transfer.

Atletico Madrid had earlier dispatched Asisat Oshoala and her Barcelona side in the semi-final following a penalty shootout, with Ajibade playing no part as she was still finding her feet in the side. In the final however, the 21 year old “Girl with the blue hair” played the final 10 minutes of the victory in Almeria. Cameroonian forward, Ajara Njoya Nchout scored twice in the game, on what was her debut for Atletico Madrid.
