Akor Adams Blocks Comments After Social Media Abuse from Sevilla Fans

Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has taken a firm step to protect his mental health after receiving insults from some Sevilla supporters on social media.
Adams has had a challenging time at Sevilla since he joined from Montpellier earlier this year. Although his injuries have reduced this season, his form has been inconsistent. He has scored two goals and provided two assists in 14 matches, but he has also become known for being caught offside many times.
The 25-year-old played all 90 minutes in Sevilla’s 1–1 draw with Valencia at the weekend but struggled to make an impact. After the match, he posted a photo of himself in action on Instagram. Instead of support, several fans criticised him heavily.
In response, Adams decided to disable the comment section on the post to stop further abuse.
With Isaac Romero injured, Adams remains Sevilla’s main striker. He is expected to feature again when the team plays Oviedo, and he will hope to score and win back the confidence of the fans.
