Akor Adams Explains Why He Joined Venezia, Unveiled in Traditional Nigerian Attire

Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has explained why he left Spanish club Sevilla to join newly promoted Italian Serie A side Venezia.

The 25-year-old completed a permanent move to Venezia and signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.

Adams also caught the attention of fans during his official unveiling by wearing traditional Nigerian attire, proudly showing his roots on his first day at the club.

Speaking after the move, the Nigerian forward said Venezia’s long-term vision convinced him to make the switch.

“I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history,” Adams said.

He also praised the club’s supporters for their passion and loyalty.

“I have seen so many videos of the matches and I have been impressed by their constant support. I believe this team deserves to be in Serie A. I am proud to be a part of all this,” he added.

Adams began his professional career in Norway before moving to Lillestrøm, French side Montpellier and later Sevilla. He has also made 15 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring six goals.
