Akor Adams hailed as phenomenal after firing Sevilla to vital win over Villarreal

Akor Adams has been praised after playing a big role in Sevilla’s fight to avoid relegation in the Spanish league.
The Nigerian striker scored the winning goal as Sevilla FC came from behind to beat Villarreal CF 3-2 on Wednesday night.
Sevilla coach Luis García praised the Super Eagles forward after the match and described him as “phenomenal” for his performances this season.
Adams scored with a strong left-footed strike to give Sevilla an important victory in their battle to stay in La Liga.
The goal was his fourth match-winning strike of the campaign. He had also scored important winning goals against Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Bilbao and RCD Espanyol.
Speaking after the game, García said: “Akor, now Akor again, is phenomenal.”
The coach also praised the effort of the whole squad but insisted the team still has work to do before they are safe from relegation.
“Maybe it’s not done yet. Until it’s done, I’m not going to relax for a second. Not a second,” García said.
Since joining Sevilla, Adams has been in impressive form. The Nigerian striker has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 31 matches in all competitions this season.
His winning goal against Villarreal came after a clever pass from Djibril Sow.
García also praised the hard work of his attacking players, including Neal Maupay, saying they have shown strength and determination in difficult matches.
As Sevilla continue their fight for survival, Adams has become one of the team’s most important players with his goals, energy and hard work.
