Akor Adams Unhappy After Sevilla Lose Derby to Real Betis

Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has expressed his disappointment after Sevilla lost 2–0 to local rivals Real Betis on Sunday.
Adams started up front for Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in a match that was expected to be closely fought. Both teams showed good quality, and Sevilla hoped to use their home support to get a result.
However, it was Betis who took all three points with goals from Pablo Fornals and Sergi Altimira.
Adams played the full 90 minutes and had two attempts on goal. His biggest chance came in the 78th minute when he rounded the Betis goalkeeper, but a defender blocked his shot on the line.
The defeat leaves Sevilla in 13th place in La Liga with 16 points from 14 matches. It was their eighth loss of the season and a painful one, especially as it happened in front of their home fans.
Adams Says He Is Not Happy
After the match, Adams said he was upset with both the result and the performance. He explained that the team must improve quickly.
“I’m not happy. It’s not just the defeat, but the way it happened. It’s a tough feeling. There are no excuses. We have to work hard. I think we played a good first half,” he said.
Sevilla’s next match is in the Copa del Rey against Extremadura, and the team will be hoping to bounce back with a win.
