Akpeyi Set For Moroka Swallows Debut

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi is set to make his debut for South African club, Moroka Swallows against Chippa United on Sunday. 

Akpeyi joined the club in January as a free agent and has been waiting to get his work permit since then.

The club also signed Zimbabwe striker Tawanda Macheke from Maritzburg United but received his work permit last week.

The 36-year-old is expected to go straight into the team if his work permit is sorted, following the poor form of goalkeepers Thakasani Mbanjwa and Sanele Tshabalala.

Akpeyi spent spent three and a half seasons at Chippa before joining Kaizer Chiefs in January 2019.

He was released by Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season.
