Akwa Ibom State FA Announces Date for 2025 FA Cup Draw
The Akwa Ibom State Football Association (AKSFA) has announced the date for the 2025 FA Cup draw, SportsRation reports.
A statement released on Friday, January 17, 2025, by the Secretary of the Akwa Ibom State FA, Comrade Kufre Etukudo, confirmed that the draw for the 2024/2025 President Federation Cup will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. The event will start at 10:00 am.
“All registered clubs should please take note. Many thanks!” the notice said.
Akwa United FC, the current champions of the Akwa Ibom State FA Cup, will defend their title against other clubs in the state, with the competition set to offer exciting football action.
After the announcement, the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State FA, Mr Samuel Umoh, expressed his satisfaction with the number of teams registered for the competition. He assured everyone that the tournament would run smoothly.
“This will be the first FA Cup competition under my leadership as Chairman, and we are committed to making it a memorable experience. The draw will be done fairly and transparently, setting the stage for an exciting tournament,” said Mr Umoh.
