Al Farouq Aminu helps Portland Trailblazers’ to a franchise NBA-record home opener win

Al-Farouq Aminu and Portland Trailblazers bounced back from their Saturday’s 113-110 loss to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks with a 103-93 victory over New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.

The Chief maintained his position in the Portland starting five against the two best big men in NBA, Antony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins and he excelled.

Al Farouq Aminu lasted 25 minutes on the court and within that time he was able to post 8 points on 3 of 6 shooting, 1 of 2 from the three points line, 1 steal, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 7 rebounds of which two were offensives and 5 defensives.

A play involving Aminu and Lillard was given the best play of the night by Blazers.

The victory is Portland Trailblazers’ franchise NBA-record 17th straight home opener win.

After four games for Portland Trailblazers, Al Farouq Aminu has averaged 8.7 points and 11.3 rebounds in the 2017-18 NBA season.
