Alcaraz and Sinner to play Seoul Exhibition Match
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will each earn £1.7 million ($2.3 million) for playing an exhibition match in Seoul, a figure that puts the scale of the event into perspective.
Each player will earn £1.7 million for the appearance. That figure is higher than the Australian Open runner-up prize and close to the winner’s payout of around £2 million.
Away from the numbers, the pair also shared a lighter moment while speaking to the media in Seoul. When the idea of playing doubles together came up, both were clearly open to it.
Alcaraz said:
At least once would be fun. I think I’d play forehand and he’d play backhand.
Sinner agreed, adding that it was something they had never discussed before.
I agree on that. We’ve never talked about this. It would be fun at least one time.
While a doubles appearance has not been confirmed, both players said it would be fun to try it at least once.
