Alex Iwobi makes Fulham debut in win over Luton Town
Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi made his Fulham FC debut on Saturday September 16 in the 1-0 home win over Luton Town in the English Premier League.
Alex Iwobi joined Fulham FC from Everton FC on transfer deadline day but had to wait two weeks for his debut as he arrived with injury and then the international break.
The Nigerian International was left out of the Super Eagles squad for the AFCON qualification game vs Sao Tome and Principe last weekend and so remained in London to recover and be ready for this weekends action.
With scores level at 0-0, Fulham FC manager Marcos Silva introduced Alex Iwobi for his debut In the 62nd minute of play.
Few minutes after Iwobi’s introduction, Fulham FC found the much sought winner through Carlos Vinicuis.
Iwobi’s compatriot and Fulham FC teammate Calvin Bassey came on as a 90th minute substitute for the Cottagers.
That win takes Fulham FC up to 10th place on the English Premier League standing with seven points.
