Alimi Sikiru: Remo Stars help me get better every day
heaps praise on his coach
Alimi Sikiru scored a brace against Gombe United in a 4-0 win on Sunday to take his tally this season to seven goals and says he is reveling in life at Remo Stars, sharing how everyone at the club seeks to help him ‘become better every day’.
Having joined the Sky Blue Stars from Shooting Stars at the end of last season, the striker has enjoyed his start in Ikenne.
In an interview with Sportsration, Alimi Sikiru shared his motivation at Remo Stars.
“I have scored seven goals this season and still counting. Generally, the motivation for me has always been from within and the Coach too, the belief and responsibilities that I have been given, it’s quite a lot but I’m coping really fine.” Alimi said.
The former Sunshine Stars striker also had praises for Remo Stars coach, Daniel Ogunmodede.
“The coach has changed so many things about my game, which is obvious and visible already, seeing and interpreting the game from his own perspective and giving my utmost best both in training and games.
“Remo Stars has set a target for the season already, and that is what we are planning on achieving, so our objectives right now is to meet up on our objectives.
“I have no personal target, I just want to keep improving and keep getting better as the season advances and hopefully help my club achieve massively this season.” Alimi told Sportsration.
Remo Stars are currently second on the NPFL standings with one game in hand.
