All the Manchester United matches Amad Diallo will miss after suffering ‘season-threatening’ ligament injury

Manchester United star Amad may not play again this season after suffering an ankle ligament injury before Sunday’s Premier League match against Tottenham.

Reports on Saturday said the forward picked up the injury earlier in the week, dealing a big blow to manager Ruben Amorim. The Ivory Coast international has been one of United’s best players this season, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.

Amad confirmed the news on social media, with concerns that he could be out until May. “Extremely disappointed to be writing this message at such a crucial time in the season,” he wrote on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury.

“I will come back stronger than ever! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still lots to play for.”

His injury comes as Amorim hinted at some squad problems, mentioning four new injury concerns.

This season, Amad has played in several attacking roles, including wing-back. His absence will be a big loss for United as they continue to fight for success in different competitions.
