Alvaro Morata Hails Victor Osimhen as One of the Best Strikers in the World

Galatasaray striker, Alvaro Morata, has described his Nigerian teammate Victor Osimhen as one of the best strikers in the world.

Morata and Osimhen both scored in Galatasaray’s 5-1 win against Eyupspor at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium on Sunday.

Morata, who came on as a substitute, scored twice, while Osimhen got a goal and an assist.

Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Italian club Napoli, has been in fine form for the Yellow and Reds this season, stepping up after captain Mauro Icardi suffered a long-term injury.

The Nigerian forward has scored 31 goals and provided seven assists in 36 matches across all competitions for manager Okan Buruk’s team.

After the big win against Eyupspor, Morata praised Osimhen’s quality and character.

“Osimhen is a great person and one of the best centre forwards in the world,” Morata said, as quoted by the club’s official website
