Amaju Pinnick explains why he prefers foreign coach for Super Eagles
Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has reiterated his preference for foreign coaches to lead the Super Eagles.
Speaking on Arise TV, Pinnick acknowledged the technical capabilities of Nigerian coaches but highlighted the challenges of managing players at the national level.
The FIFA Executive Committee member is concerned about the respect players will accord indigenous coaches when appointed to lead the Super Eagles.

“Yes, the Nigerian coaches have the requisite knowledge and technical ability, but modern football is beyond that in managing players,” Pinnick stated. “Will the national team players respect the coach? The sad thing is that they don’t,” he emphasised.
