Aminu Abubakar fires Nasarawa United past Zamfara In 2023/2024 NNL season opener

Aminu Abubakar scored the only goal to fire Nasarawa United FC past Zamfara United FC in the opening game of the 2023/2024 NNL season.

The Lafia City Stadium replaced Uyo Township Stadium as venue for the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season opener and former NPFL sides Nasarawa United and Zamfara United squared-off in the first game of the season.

Nine minutes into the match, Aminu wrote his name in the history book when he scored the first goal of the 2023/2024 NNL season off an assist by former Nigeria Youth International, King Osanga who was the teams skipper for the game.

That goal decided the keenly contested game, with Nasarawa United FC walking off the Lafia City Stadium with maximum points.

After the well attended game, Chidera Nduka was named ‘ Man of the match ‘ for his enterprising display for Nasarawa United FC.
