Aminu’s double-double helps Trailblazers to their season-high fifth straight win
Al-Farouq Aminu double-double helped Portland Trailblazers to beat Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday as they continue their push to finish in a good position in Western Conference ahead of playoffs.
The D’Tigers forward filled the stat sheet as he helped his side to a 108-99 win over 3rd placed Minnesota Timberwolves who had played 3 of their last games without their injured guard Jimmy Butler.
Al-Farouq Aminu had 10 points from 3-of-7 shooting, he had made one from his attempted 4 threes, he also ppsted 1 assist, vital block and completed us double-double with 12 rebounds to help Portland Trailblazers to their 5th straight win.
Although Al-Farouq Aminu and co started on the back foot, they got off to a cold start, shooting just 25 percent in the first quarter (6 for 24). McCollum went 1 for 5, and the Blazers trailed 24-19.
Al-Farouq Aminu and McCollum hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give Portland a 92-86 lead with 3:48 left. Lillard’s 3 extended it and the Timberwolves couldn’t catch up.
The teams split the season series 2-2.
