Aminu’s double-double leads Blazers past Clippers
There was no slowing down for D’Tigers forward Al-Farouq Aminu as the 28-year-old posted a double-double in Portland Trailblazers 104-96 win at the Staple Center Tuesday.
Al-Farouq Aminu in just 32 minutes dropped 11 points from 4-0f-13 shootings including 2-of-7 from three points line, a block, 10 rebounds and the highest +/- of +14 by any player on the court to help Portland Trailblazers beat Los Angeles Clippers on the road.
Aminu’s monstrous slam from Damian Lillard pass put Portland up to 104-94 with just 1:55 left on the clock, his overall impact as shown by his efficiency proved he played a key role in their success as they continue to mount pressure on teams on the Western Conference table.
Aminu’s Portland Trail Blazers with 28 wins are occupying the 6th position on the log, 2 behind Oklahoma City Thunder with 30 wins and 1 and 2 above New Orleans Pelicans who are without their All-star center DeMarcus Cousins for the remainder of the season and Denver Nuggets respectively.
