Amorim says he is not worried about his job despite Man United’s poor form

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has said he is not worried about losing his job, even as pressure mounts after another defeat.

The excitement from United’s win over Chelsea last week quickly faded when they lost 3-1 away to Brentford, leaving them stuck in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Since Amorim took charge last November, United have played 33 league games and collected just 34 points. They have not managed to win two league matches in a row, and their poor form continues after last season’s 15th-place finish.

Asked about his future, Amorim told BBC Match of the Day:

“I am never concerned about my job – I am not that kind of guy. It is not my decision. I will do the best I can every minute I am here.”

United’s board has repeatedly shown support for the former Sporting CP boss, but results like this continue to raise questions about his leadership. With no midweek fixtures, the scrutiny is set to grow.
