Amusan reacts to World Athletics Championship performance
After missing out on a podium finish at the 2023 World Athletics Championship 100m hurdles event Nigerian athlete Tobi Amusan reacts.
” Yeah, it’s a tough one; nobody likes to lose but considering what I have gone through in the past couple of months, I’m so grateful that I came out,” Amusan said.
That was her third straight final at the World Athletics Championship, the second outing produced a Gold , an historic one that ended Nigeria’s wait for the top prize.
On Thursday August 24, Amusan finished sixth place in 12.62s in her third consecutive final as Jamaica’s Danielle Williams won the title in a season-best of 12.43s while Olympic champion, Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn came second in 12.44s and USA Kendra Harrison came third in 12.46s at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary.
Amusan required a last-minute clearance to participate at the 2023 World Athletics Championship following a ban.
